Resin-coated sands are used for forming hot core blocks and shell moulds. The production of resin-coated sands is fully automatic and relies on resins with low phenol content (less than 0.5% of free phenol). They are widely used in the production of castings for the automotive industry, where low thermal expansion is required. Moreover, they are used in the production of: valves, connecting rods, pumps, compressors, and my other elements made of cast iron, cast steel and non-ferrous metals.
Benefits of using resin-coated sands:
dimensional accuracy of castings,
elimination of core deformation,
waste material is non-toxic, i.e. it has a very low phenol content and very low oxygen demand,
no humidity absorption,
cores are very durable,
the emission of free phenol at moulding stations is much lower.
Our products are tailored to our Customers’ requirements.
We supply a whole range of resin-coated sands having various properties depending on the demand. We determine the kind of sand our Customer needs and we make a product which has specific parameters, guaranteeing their repeatability.
Our sands comply with strict standards.
Sands from ZGM ZĘBIEC SA fulfil all foundry requirements in terms of strength, softening temperature, humidity, loss on ignition, etc. Test results and Quality Inspection Certificate are supplied along with each lot of supplied material.
