HT bentonite

HT bentonite is used as a component of water-based drilling fluids. It is perfect for the drilling of oil, hydro-geological, raw material, and geophysical and geo-engineering wells. It is made of specially modified sodium bentonite.

The material used to produce HT bentonite is characterised by a high concentration of montmorillonite. It is subject to a more thorough and fuller ion exchange, which ensures very good rheological parameters. Drilling fluids made of HT bentonite ensure proper cleaning of well bottoms. They improve the transporting of cuttings, and while the drilling fluid is not being circulated they keep the cuttings suspended; they are also used to stabilise the walls of wells. The addition of HT bentonite enhances the lubricating action of the drilling fluid.
