On 5 September 2017, a regulation concerning new requirements for solid-fuel boilers was issued. In short, it provides that:
– from 1 October 2017 a ban on the manufacture of boilers in a class lower than 5 was issued (except for niche boilers, for example for domestic water heating or boilers that use non-tree biomass, such as nut shells or straw);
– from 1 July 2018 a ban on the sales and installation in the territory of Poland central heating boilers of a class lower than 5. Classes (except as above).
